About Me

My photo
I try to embrace life, i love people and i love life. Through my work I aim to help break apart the ‘illusion of separation’, to challenge the viewer to question, and evolve out of ignorance, conditioning and ingrained genetic habits. In life I strive to take responsibility for the effect of my existence, and through my actions and images, inspire others to think/dream beyond their immediate capacity. Ultimately I seek to create portals that open to the infinite possibilities of being and expressing, so that we may remember and re-discover who we are, where we originate from and where we are headed. My aspiration is to paint messages, visions and narratives that communicate with an ‘older & wiser us’, awakening ancient memory; as well as the ‘present us’, that we may grow up and accept the responsibilities towards ourselves, each other and the rest of existence on this planet… Kimberley

Human canvas

"I met a young girl and she gave me a rainbow..."

Recently i had a visit from my beautiful friend Chloe Thorton. She has started a fantastic project where she asks individuals to donate there body to art and she transforms a part of there body with her art. She asks each soul she comes across on this journey to pick one word that depicts them or what they bring to the world.

I had been looking forward to being a part of this great project since she told me earlier in the year, i still remember her pretty sunkissed face dancing with bubbly excitement. :)

I thought for a long time about what word i thought suited what i was about as a person, i kept coming back to "heart" it seemed too simple at first but then i thought well simple is perfect. Better or worse i always come back to the heart.

I had a lovely day with Chloe the whole experience was amazing, we spoke about everything it just rolled out of us so beautifully. I spose its the connection of the painter and the body/soul. She is a little ray of inspirational sunshine and her art is so unique.

If you would like to check out her art and thoughts wonder onto her blog-
